Asberdies -> Russian production (4/4/2018 2:26:19 PM)

On my first pvp gmae as Russian i have question about the production and more specifically about armamament because according to my readings it is the choking point of Russian equipment.
I am the last trun of november 41 soviet army in good shape 6.6M men. I have a pool at beginnning of turn of 50K arm and producing abour 70k a turn. ( i lost no arm nor Hi due to German). I have lot of adm points, and spoiling some with reaffecting army to fronts but i try to not spend to much on SU because i fear i am going to lack arm soon.
Can u calculate how many arms each SU cost?
Also what about 152 Hw and the diff with the 152 Gun Hw? i can make 152 Gun Hw, but no 152Hw, only 122Hw, but i have a lot of 152Hw already so i find it weird not being able to produce any. I suppose u can produce them later.
thats all for now :p

You are doing well to have this size of army in '41, you will likely win easily no matter what you produce.
My suggestion would be to not build any artillery SUs unless you have the equipment in stock. So Engineers are OK and check the TOEs from the screen where you are selecting which SU to build and compare with what is available. There should be some rockets. There is an SU that uses 152mm Hz but am not sure if it gets upgraded to something better.
Then as the game progresses can start building artillery in moderate numbers while monitoring that you are not running low on Armament Points. As you say, what you don't want is to have manpower not deploying to line divisions because APs are short.

the 152 how was out of production or production ceased shortly after the german attack to focus on cheaper/easier to produce guns like the 122mm How. the 152mm Gun How is a heavy gun.

Lol i made at least 40 art SU i think since the beginning. With all the army i filled i needed SU for them :/ . Now its December and my arm pool went empty at beginning of turn, so no more SU creation until i see my pool increase again. The main probelm for my arms was i had too few losses so my army grew too much too early :p
