Preferably modern (2000+), small/middle scale, air+naval, any opponent would do. My main goal is to learn about Russian weaponry. Would appreciate recommendations. :-) thanks.

Yep, Iron hand is indeed really nice to learn the basics about Russian weaponry, or just basic COMMAND game play in general... Tip, mastering this scenario (not that easy btw) means destroying all targets with just about zero to one Russian AC losses :)

Very interesting scenario but a real challenge. The no-nav zone over Georgia is not helping ... I'm trying to destroy as many air defense as I can with cruise missiles from RFS Daguestan and bombers located north but efficiency seems relatively limited. No way to reach Caspian coast with my fighters.

Try to wipe out the Gammons with the Iskanders. You can take care of the Grumble by flying your SU-30s with Krypton ARMs as low as possible and then popping up to minimum launch altitude when in range. When the Grumble "wakes up", dump all your ARMs, drop to sea-skimming and GTFO. That should get you started.

Tip, you can rebase your planes in Armenia between strikes. Also, with in flight refueling your strike aircraft can fly over the Black sea, attack from Armenian airspace and make it back to their base via the Black sea :) Your two Backfires are carrying four long range ARM missles by the way, if only you could somehow make the S300 fire all its missiles and then hit it while it reloads..... ;)

Do you guys have a recommendation for a scenario to be played as Russia but this time against NATO /or US forces ? Same thing, medium size, modern weappons (2010+) Thanks !

Crimean river (evil grin). Awesome scenario as you have to crack modern Russian SAM and air defenses :) W. Edit. Sorry, Cr is playing as the US. v. Russia

Any Command Live Scenario featuring Russia let's you play as them, although they're not particularly simple scenarios.

Regarding the Live scenarios that I've done: Pole Positions - is almost exclusively submarine oriented and is very tricky for the Russian Korean Missile Crisis - is fairly straightforward for the Russians but your adversary is Korea, or what the Americans have left of it. Old Grudges Never Die - is small-ish but complex as hell You Brexit - You Fix it - is larger but as the Russians can be interesting and not overly complex Don of a new Era - is both large and complex but more straightforward as the Russian than as NATO Some (not many) of the Northern Fury series can be played from the Russian side. But that's set in 94. B

there's also ruby slipper (IIRC) which is russia vs. NK i remember it being fun. it hands you some rotary wing (KA-52 I believe) which is something you don't see often.

Try out Operation Reclaimed Might, 2015 through the workshop. It looks easy but isn't. Not too difficult either.
