All (particularly this forum's modes).

Yesterday, at the invitation of John 3rd, I entered the thread for his AAR for our upcoming game. This morning, to my surprise, I had at least one (maybe more) emails notifying me of replies to that thread. I immediately emailed John to let him know, and thankfully I have not received more email notifications.

A few questions for those that know:

1. Is that normal?
2. Will it continue?
3. Is there a way to stop it?

Go into your thread subscriptions and unsubscribe from that particular thread. In the top right of your webpage here you should see something called "My Subscription". If you can't find it, do a ctrl + f and search for it. Scroll down to the bottom and you'll see subscribed threads.

EDIT

If you want to know why this happens, when you reply to a thread there is a checkbox always automatically checked that says "Notify me via e-mail when someone replies " underneath the reply area. If you don't want to be notified of responses, uncheck it before submitting your post.

Thanks tons! I guess the default behaviour makes sense... unless it is your opponent's AAR, that is.

Problem solved! I have unsubscribed from the thread without entering it. Thanks @Anachro!!!
