LN59 -> Map design and re-sizing (5/9/2018 11:48:14 PM)

Hello everyone !

- Does anyone know what "Generate Edges" in the "Options" menu of the Editor allows us to get? Is it related to the creation of maps?
Trying to use that feature but seeing no effect on my map & screen, I looked for the answer in the Manual, but with no success.

- Is there (is it even possible) a way to "move" a map - not from one Sector to another - but like in a spreadsheet
when you want to move a certain range of cells containing data.
That is by asking, for example, to shift so many (clear) hexes down or right the upper left hex of the map.
Or by adding-removing (x) rows of hexes top/down, or adding-removing (y) columns left/right?

I don't know if I have correctly expressed my question but I would be very happy to have some guidance on that.
Can we do this kind of manipulation with a text editor?

Thank You All!

- Generate edges, it's just a left over from development. It's automatically generated when you say place a GRAIN tile into surrounding CLEAR hexes, the GRAIN hex will have smoothed out edges so it doesn't look like a full hexagon.

- TotH consists of maximum 3 x 4 ASL like maps together, these are called sectors. So the top left corner of the map is a sector 1. You can import a map as template to a specific sector, you can also export a map from a sector to a map template. So you could export a map in Sector 1 and import it into a different sector. Keep in mind that in Scenario Attributes dialog, you can specify how many sectors your battle map will have.

- sorry TotH editor does not support shifting/moving columns/rows like excel.
