When I log in to play a multiplayergame I get the message “new patch 1.09.00 availlable”. Ho do I upgrade?

Ignore it. Just click again and you will get past it. It is a bug - if you are on Steam, you should have the newest version. Just to check, the newest version is 1.11.01.
