STALINGRAD has real T34's(the later 85mm model)..I felt it portrayed the mood of the troops well,(for veterans)..Don't remember many of the time-worn cliche's..
Pretty gruesome but true depiction of how tanks kill grunts up-close and personal.(And likewise).
I got the vcr copy 3 yrs ago, probably approx $20 on Amazon.com,i believe.
If price is ever a consideration,I would avoid that other shop,(Bells and Blades)or whatever the heck it's called, like a PLAGUE!!!!!
They need to die and go to H*ll,yesterday.

Yes and in actuallity they were Leopard 1 tanks "dressed up" to look like Panthers. The best way to tell is by the exhaust. It is located on both side of the rear hull.

Easy for me to recognise as the Leo 1 is the MBT of the Canadian Army. :D

Here's the Canadian Army web sit on the Leo 1 if anyone is interested.

Just wondering but does anyone knows where I can find the soundtrack to this stalingrad movie? I've bought the Das Boot soundtrack a while back and I've been hunting for the sountrack for this movie for quite a while now with no luck.

Thanks.

I thought Stalingrad was a pretty good movie, especially considering that it was made by Germans and not Hollywood. No offense to anyone, but usually European productions don't make it that far. So in that respect it's especially good! A very good depiction of things at the Eastern Front I think.

BTW does anyone here know the Dutch production 'Soldier of Orange' (Dutch title: Soldaat van Oranje) with Rutger Hauer and Jeroen Krabbe amongst others? It's pretty good.. for a Dutch movie :)

Enemy at the gates was a nice attempt btw.. but it messed itself up by the unnecessary lovestory.
