pertsajakilu -> scenario question (6/5/2003 7:58:12 PM)

HI!

Sorry if stupid question. I have not studied scenarios in UV completely.

Is there scenario which starts from Invasion to Lunga on the D-day. If anybody remember Great Naval Battles II there was a long campaign where action started from fixed situation US doing landing in Lunga. After that was up to You and of course reinforcement timetable.

I suppose that same scenario is not available in UV? Or has anybody done scenario like that?

TV.

Look at Scenarios 7 and 14:

Scenario 7 - Turning the Tide: 1 Aug 42 - 31 Dec 42

Scenario 14 - Hard Road Ahead: 1 Aug 42 - 31 Dec 43

Thaks!

I looked Scenario 14 and it seems very much same like that Great Naval Battles II long scenario. Even the ship arrival times seems same, if I remember correctly.

When playing Japs (GNB II) You had to wait 11 days berfore You had any decent fleet assets. You had to supply Lunga with Tokyo Express. Nothing else was not possible because of US carriers and surface fleet. It was very hair raising bussiness to supply Lunga undetected. When I tried scen 14 as Japanese there was 11 days wait time before first ships arrive.

Pity that GNB II was so buggy. :-( I think that I try it sometimes again. Still have the orginal package with manuals etc. Same with Pacwar.
