Confused about Database updates and old scenarios (Full Version)

Hello!

Something I don't know: when the database is updated with new ships and stats and etc, are these changes applied when running scenarios created earlier than the update?

If not, what (step-by-step, if possible) do we need to do to update older scenarios to the new database? Must it be done manually? Should it be done at all, or should scenarios be left as they were?

Editor -> Database -> Change DB / Upgrade scenario to the latest DB. Must be done manually yes, but only if you feel there is something missing in the current build that you are using and it's implemented in the newest one. I personally like to always keep it up to date.

You need to be careful with just updating to the most recent DB; especially from some of the older scenarios.
Depending on how the designer built his scenario, the balance (or unit attributes) may be off if you just update to the most current DB.
I tend to only do so if something isn't working as expected, or the database version is within a couple of releases of the current one. And also I rename it so if it does break, I have the original to fall back to.[:D]
