Karnaaj -> Roadtrip - Vancouver BC/SeaTac WA (6/8/2003 3:33:55 AM)

Well, this seems to be a pretty general location to post this. Anyway, come the end of June/start of July, I'll be on vacation - 4 days in the Vancouver BC area, and the rest down in SeaTac, WA. (4 days at a convention, and about 2.5 for running around; part of one day I can check out stuff running down the cost between Vancouver and Seattle.)

Other than the Boeing Museum of Flight, and the ME-262 folks at Paine Field in Everett, what other cool military/wargaming type stuff might y'all recommend? There's a surplus Soviet diesel sub tied up down at the Seattle Waterfront, might check that out whilst at Pike Place Market, but I'm not going to head over to Bremerton for the naval museum or destroyer tour this year. (SeaTac is probably about as far south as I'll go this time.) Museums, display-piece armour, cool game-shops or bookstores... anyone?

The SeaTac hotel has dataports (no highspeed tho )(no pool either ), so I won't be *totally* out of touch - might even be able to get last-minute additions... and it'll keep me from having to catch up to two weeks worth of forum posts, email and website updates, too.

Thanks in advance...

Duke of Earl -> While you're at Pike Street Market.. (6/9/2003 6:39:18 AM)

Stop by Pell's Irish Pub... if it is still there... I vaguely remember an entrance that is off of an alley somewhere... good Guiness & Grub.. but, no air conditioning... live music on weekends, but you hafta know the words to sing along...

Cordialement, Duke of Earl
