Gunner98 -> Indian Ocean Fury - the set so far (8/6/2018 12:07:26 PM)

OK guys here are the five Indian Ocean Fury scenarios so far with the background reading added in.

-All have two versions, Chains of War with AC damage and Coms disruption or a version without that. IOF#4 needs COW no matter what due to the Cargo bits.
-All now have the Rescue scripts developed by angster and modified by TypoonFr
-The background reading might add a bit of texture.

Thanks for everones help testing these. More to come later.

Thanks Gunner
Awesome work.

Absolutely brilliant. Been trying my best to play these through. Take a LONG time though so not for the faint hearted. I'm 75% through IOF#4 - Taken me 6 days so far (!) and loving the logistics elements. Has transformed the game in many ways. Just wish I had some better interceptors.... :-) Oh and I lost the Lancaster very quickly :-(

Her Majesty will be displeased [:D]

Thanks Gunner for the bundle.
I have started Persian Pounce and lost almost every escort ship in the Gulf, expecially the ones in the Strait of Hormuz.
The only survivor being Lupo and Santa Maria.
With only these two frigates I have to escort all the stuff from Bahrain to the safety of the Indian Ocean; trying to dodge subs, vampire and mines, who could ask for more? [:D]

Great work but... don't forget the Med [;)]

Gunner98 -> RE: Indian Ocean Fury - the set so far (8/10/2018 10:00:13 AM)

Thanks Andrea

More Med on the way [8D]

One more Northern Fury then a bit of a break from that. Baltic and Caribbean Fury are going to get most of the attention for a while --- but then the Med [;)]

I enjoyed this series of scenarios. Thank you.

Gunner,

You keep out-doing YOURSELF, Bart. These scenarios are great.

Thank you so much. You have literally provided me with countless hours of fun over the years. I don't have any more words in my vocabulary to express this as I've said it all before.

Any (proposed) date for the book? I would like to have it NOW!!!!

Thanks again.

Doug

Thanks for the kind words.

Aiming for Christmass. Will pin down the exact date shortly.

Assuming it will be available for kindle? Not that it matters I will get it regardless it’s just easier on an overloaded bookcase!

That's the plan. Kindle, Kobo and Print on demand as it stands now.

Hi Gunner,

I am currently playing IF#2 Mozambique Madness.
Great Scenario, you have so limited amount of assets that even the somali pirate are a problem :-)))

Just want to let you know about two minor issues that I found.

The downed crew script still doesn't work, I have also tried to rescue one with a RHIB from LST Cayuga but didn't work
Every time a downed crew is created there is a LUA script error, don't know if relates to the rescue problem.

14:44:40 - 14:44:40 - Lua script execution error: [string "Event - Load all Functions"]:175: attempt to index local 'referencePointOne' (a nil value)
14:44:40 - 14:44:40 - Event: 'Event - Aircraft Destroyed and Create Pilot' has been fired.
14:44:40 - 14:44:40 - Event: 'NATO AC Destroyed' has been fired.

Second problem I was unable to re-arm the AV-8 from Peleliu once I put them in Ferry mode to transfer them to Lakipia airport; I have sent the C-130 to from Diego garcia to Lakipia and the magazines of the airport received the load; so I returned the AV-8 to Peleliu, still in Ferry mode and I am stil unable to re-arm them.
Previously in the game I based them on Ouani Airport, I ferried them without using ferry mode and I was able to re-arm them with the C-130 load from the Ouani magazines.
So I am unable to get them out of ferry mode.

Finally I would suggest to award some points for the Soviet SSN lurking ;-)

Great Job as usual

Andrea

Thanks Andrea

It'll be a few weeks before I get a chance to look into it. Thanks for the headsup.

The Ferry mission my be a game issue, not sure.

I will post the ferry issue on the tech forum

Hi Gunner,

On the tech forum Michaelm75au has spotted the problem:

(quote)
The magazine is missing some AN/ALQ-164 DECM items as the various load-outs need at least 1. I added a couple to the LPH magazine, and the load-outs became selectable.

Found a couple more bugs in the series.

Mozambique Madness:
Mwanza mission to strike Lakipia activates but doesn't launch.

Socotra Scramble:
Radar Square Tie east of Dahlak Island is positioned underwater, so it can be targeted only with torpedoes.

A very common defensive technique [:D]

Thanks, its on my fix list.
