Falken -> 2.8.9.4 Poland Surrender Crash (8/12/2018 2:18:30 PM)

Hi,

Not a big deal, but just FYI that when i decided to try to "NOT Align" Poland to Commonwealth, in order to force Poland surrender at the start of the game (post setup), the game crashes.

I've attached the bug report.

Dave...

The alignment to the CW should be forced by the game, as per rules. Crashing is drastic but the rule was violated so the game should not continue.

Agreed... That's why it's not a big deal, but just wanted the team to know so that they can add it to the buglist. Looks like a parameter is missing on the call. Hopefully it can be easily fixed to avoid the crash. I actually did align Poland, but just wanted to see what would happen if I didn't....

Doesn't RAW 7 just say that Poland can ONLY align to CW, not that it must?
Hence the choice.

Yes it does. So if it doesn't align to the CW, it should surrender immediately to Germany.

IMHO, it is always a good thing to check a bug - even if it is a rules violation: it may help to discover/fix a more general bug down the road.

I didn't know that Poland could only ally to CW or ddn't remember it anyway.

Not that I ever thought of aligning it with any other country...

At one point not aligning Poland worked; an AAR a long time ago had someone do this, and it worked.
