Be Small -> Video help needed. (8/12/2018 3:01:28 PM)

Hi guys,
Anyone still playing this? Dusted-off my collection and wanted to give it a try. Unfortunately, the video seems off, I am not getting the proper graphic perfomance.

if i had the game, and your report, i would have been able to hopefully helped, but will try and see if anyone has a copy to lend me to try something for you

How to get a DirectX Diagnostic file:

1. click on "START"
2. click "run"
3. type in "dxdiag" and click "OK"
4. check through the tabs and perform all tests
5. click "Save all Information..." and save the text file to a location of your choice

We prefer that DxDiag files be posted as message attachments rather than pasted into the body of the post.

once the report has been made, just attach it to your post with first adding the file to a zip, which is then permitted to attach to the forum

as your a new user, just pm me the report thanks, and i'll see if anyone has a copy around to help you with any issues etc

to make the video work better in windows 10, in many games i do this, most of the time it works and works for them all

add back in directplay which is taken out by default in windows 10 but still comes with it

zakblood -> RE: Video help needed. (8/27/2018 7:04:35 PM)

the next is most older games think you have media player and it's codec installed, so again, windows 10 doesn't have them installed or loaded by default, but does have them on the disk so install them, they don't even need to be the default, just installed

zakblood -> RE: Video help needed. (8/27/2018 7:05:10 PM)

you just need to install is first

zakblood -> RE: Video help needed. (8/27/2018 7:06:46 PM)

again windows 10 on laptops tend to put the whole thing into power saving mode, which not only slows down the pc to keep it running on less power but also doesn't give access to 100% speed, so a few tips are needed to make it work right again

zakblood -> RE: Video help needed. (8/27/2018 7:08:19 PM)

as long as the pre requisites for a given game is installed, with windows 10, 9 out of 10 time it works

zakblood -> RE: Video help needed. (8/27/2018 7:09:17 PM)

with the least amount of junk loaded each boot, the game has less means of falling over and CTD, so a clean boot is a better gaming system

zakblood -> RE: Video help needed. (8/27/2018 7:10:27 PM)

windows 10 does come with some junk, so imo best advice is to disable it, as hardly any game supports it, so most older game may conflict with it, so once disabled, you have less worries

loading the nvidia sound drivers, doesn't do much good either to older games, as they prefer the correct ones and more up to date ones at that
