ORIGINAL: GaryChildress "The vandalism came as the group was planning to move the artifacts after being evicted from the site due to a nearby development project." Cutting through the hull with blow torches sounds a little upscale from what some run of the mill street gang might be capable of. I sort of wonder if there was some sort of feud going on with the people wanting to do the development project. I mean, when big money is involved nasty stuff can happen too. Heck, maybe the developers have a few mafia connections. Could be that the 'development project' controversy was a convenient cover for certain other groups with the time, know-how, and spite to wreck the Submarine and rob that plaque while they were at it. To paraphrase one of the few rational voices on twitter: "Who hates the US military enough to send vets a ****-you?" Not going to delve any further than that. By water and fire. In Poland, you get mysterious, destructive fires starting in empty, old buildings in attractive lots, that can be developed. After the structure has burnt down, and rubble cleared, some developers start builiing a store or apartment blocks.
