Max depth: 300m

Reality
Test depth at sea trial: 326m
Maximum operating depth: 600m
Design depth: 652m
Collapse depth: 701m

You should probably post a source, otherwise the "reality" of what you've posted is also "fiction".

The question was always to me, how far off those Wikipedia-/CMANO-data were from reality.
And in this case the real max operating depth value is 100% deeper than the CMANO-data.

IMO CMANO's "max depth" values for subs come rather close to the submarine's so called "Test depth", which is the maximum depth at which a submarine is permitted to operate under normal peacetime circumstances.
