Hello Folks

I recently joined the WitE community with a particular focus on multiplayer games. I can't handle a complete campaign just by myself. :)

For those who are interested to understand how it works, we are using Dropbox as the save game file management tool to pass the files from player to player and from the team to team. It also allows to share screenshots, operations plans, etc.

The big advantage is that Dropbox is easy to use and it also provides some security regarding human error. Files don't really disappear as they can be recovered, along with old versions.

There are probably also other tools that could do the job, but so far so good in my current games.

The multiplayer part is another exciting gaming experience that I never had the chance to try in other similar games.

I wanted to give a big thankyou to Belgavox for getting dropboxes running for the Connect 4 team game when they arrived on turn 6. It is a big ask for someone to both join a team game as a new player then and look after a big part of the game infrastructure there. Belgavox and thedoctorking have kept the game running seemlessly ever since.

It's been a real blessing to have this capability. I have used Dropbox extensively for collaboration on writing projects and I love it for that purpose. For these multiplayer games, it takes away a lot of the uncertainty about save game files that might erode trust in a multiplayer game, since previous versions of files and deleted files are visible to any user (by opening the Dropbox.com website). This game relies very strongly on trust between players and anything that enhances that is very valuable. So thanks to mssm45/Belgavox for a very important service to our community.

What happened to the dropboxes before Belgavox got them up and running again on turn 6?
