mogami -> reforming units (11/21/2018 4:27:00 AM)

Hi, I have already reconstituted several divisions from their component parts. However i have one all units in same hex, same ops, same orders. but no option to combine. What am I not doing? (In fact this is last division in SRA that has not recombined)
Thanks

All sub-units must belong to the same HQ.

And sub-units of the same type e.g. infantry won't recombine if they have different devices in the same slot. For example if one Rgt has 37mm AT guns and another Rgt has upgraded to 47mm AT guns, no recombination possible until the Rgt with the 37mm guns has upgraded as well. It is recommended to turn upgrades off for sub-units.

Hi, LST it must be the different devices. I had all upgrades off but some regt of 56th Div might start with different gear. I will look and confirm or deny when i restart a few turns from now. Thanks for the response and good to see you and your girls again.

Good to see you again as well, Mogami. In the past few weeks the forum has seen a couple of old timers who have been AWOL for months and years returning. I was thinking about you and a few other legendary forumites in this context - and a week later or so you showed up [:)]

Hi, That must be it. I had a choice Porn Hub or Matrix and here I am. I do not think we ever played a game but I have more then once been moonstruck on those native girls. You are a man of few words but much wisdom. Always one of my favorites.

Hi, All of the regt have the same equipment but 1 has stuff the other two do not (tankettes and engineers)

In stock 146th Regiment has 16th Army as HQ, while all other parts of 56th ID have 25th Army as HQ.
You need to assign everything to the same HQs before you can recombine

You could always have disbanded the unit assigned to the different HQ. Then combine the division, that should work. The downside of that would be the loss of experience.

Remember, when the unit gets trashed and needs rebuilding, that is the time to change HQs since it would be cheaper. I believe that the cost is based on the active devices and the disabled ones do not count towards the cost.

Thrashed unit, malaria hex, no supply... Just dreaming about cheap HQ reassignments.

To this you must add... Time, for the unit to rebuild, and supply to take the replacements. Time, eh. Supply, when you talk of Japan all supply is an issue, no matter how little.

That would be correct.

Edit:Keep in mind that the Dev's have stated that a unit that is broken down will operate almost as effectively (from what I've read its 2%) as a combined unit if all components of the division are located in the same hex.
