As an aside, I am trying to play the 2.0 version on my Win 8 machine, but it does not want to launch (the vanilla 1.12 version launches fine). Any ideas how I can get it to work?

zakblood -> RE: Grand Strategy download isn't working (12/7/2018 9:07:22 AM) not off hand no i'm sorry to say, most of the time with failed launchers it's a permissions issue or antivirus has stopped a given file from running, so check logs and install and load as admin, for the correct permissions to be given on a given file
