Schokolokos -> Tripact Supply Rules are questionable (12/20/2018 6:33:09 PM)

there are problems with Supply in this game.

-German Submarine can not repair its health in Japan homeland, but It can fully repair itself in Japan occupied territories like Indochina.

-Japan Carriers (and I guess all other ships) do not get any supply in Italy controlled South Africa. (I was waiting 1 Turn in lvl 5 seaport in SA and still had 0 Supply with my carrier, needed around 10 turns to return to Japan)

Is this intended? I think the allied Nations should at least be able to resupply the allied ships, being not able to repair i am okay with.

Thanks and the answers here is that Japan is set to non cooperative status with Germany and Italy and this would explain the lack of shared supply and repair capabilities. Much like how the USSR is set to non cooperative with the rest of the Western Allies in game too.

However, there looks to be a bug in that Germany can repain in Indochina, unless you are referring to that one port at Penang which I believe switches to German control in game?

no, on all occupied territories from Japan its possible to repair up to 10, if there is a port with at least supply lvl 6.

Penang port has only lvl 5, so the German sub can only repair up to 8 health.

So I was not supposed to be able to repair an US CV in USSR ports? Cause I was able to do so, or does it change after the USSR DoWs Japan?

I thought it was funny my German surface raiders were able to re-supply in Italian East Africa.

Thanks then that is a bug and I'll look into the anomaly.

My mistake, just double checked the settings and the USSR is only partially cooperative with a restriction on supply sharing only. Japan is currently set a bit different in that it is not cooperative at all.

With the current settings, Germany and Italy are set to be fully cooperative and that would include supply sharing.

I think German and Italian ships should be able to re-supply in Japanese controlled ports and vice versa.
If the Axis in real life worked together like the Allies did they may have been more successful.
As some people playing the game want to play "What if" and as the player is the supreme commander, It might be best if it was introduced via a DE?

roy64 -> RE: Tripact Supply Rules are questionable (12/21/2018 6:49:41 PM)

They can.

Agreed. [:)]

DE 610 – Germany: Shall We Invest In The Penang Naval Base?
Event fires: When both Germany and Japan are Axis and not surrendered, Penang and Singapore
are in Axis hands and Malaya has surrendered to the Axis.
Cost of accepting: 75 MPPs at 25 MPPs a turn for 3 turns.
Yes: Penang is transferred to German control but in a damaged condition, and Germany deploys
a strength 3 Submarine there.
No: Nothing.

I've been able to use German ships in some Japanese ports as soon as the fall of France.

Hubert Cater -> RE: Tripact Supply Rules are questionable (12/23/2018 2:43:39 PM)

Can you confirm that you are receiving supply from these ports and not just being able to dock there?

roy64 -> RE: Tripact Supply Rules are questionable (12/23/2018 3:01:23 PM)

I can upgrade my ships their & reinforce them. This is playing your mod you made the other day.

taffjones -> RE: Tripact Supply Rules are questionable (12/23/2018 3:28:50 PM)

Hi Bill
I know about the DE for supplying U-Boats from Penang, I was thinking more along the lines of being able to repair and resupply from and Axis held ports for any Axis navel units.
If I recall correctly (and I most properly will be wrong) the port at Penang is only a strength 5 port after it has been refitted, so I couldn't fully repair units only up to strength 8.

This is another bug then that I will correct for the next build.
