James Taylor -> Perfect Strategy (12/31/2018 6:06:41 PM)

After much deliberation and testing on many "guinea pigs" I have devised the most perfect Axis
strategy to win SoE.

There is just one problem...... the most perfect Allied strategy![;)]

Want to discuss it among yourselves?

Hi SeaMonkey,
Doesn't the "most perfect' Axis strategy depend at least a little on what the Allies do? I hope so.
Please try your perfect Axis strategy on me, I have a little surprise that has caused problems for every(but one, because I did not have time to land it) Axis player I have played, and would like to see how you would respond. I am trying to prefect it before I try it on Sugar.

Of course you're right Markiss, the Allies must cooperate, albeit unknowingly. TBH this is my son's strategy(the first line of my post, his words). I have used it and it's very effective, based upon Admiral Erich Raeder's "Operation Sphinx" which eventually led to my line, "the most perfect Allied strategy" which I had to devise to defeat him.

Unfortunately my MPS lost for the first time against his in a WaW hotseat fueled by mass quantities of adult beverages and I was the butt of his jeers and jests. Yes, he has bragging rights, although my Americans were on the way back to a lost Europe, having vanquished Nippon.

I'll be most happy to play as the Axis and prosecute "the plan" but lets do it with WaW, I'm kind of done with SoE. WaW has lots to discover and I'll be forth coming in discussing any of the idiosyncracies of SoE you may deem relevant for challenging Sugar as we play.

WaW it shall be. I've done little more than tinker with WaW, so it will definitely be a learning experience. Let me know if there are any particular settings or house rules you prefer, I am open to whatever you suggest.
Your Sphinx strategy should dovetail perfectly with the strategy I would like to try, so hopefully I can at least make it entertaining.

No house rules, the usual defaults. I haven't used the server in a long time. Do I host, issue a challenge, or what is the usual protocol?

Last PBEM we just sent files in hotseat mode, no playbacks of course.

I'll pm you.
