Turn 32. Nov/Dec 1944. Allied #9.

USSR. Eastern Germany. A bit of miscalculation on the part of Stavka. No matter, Stalin considers the destruction of a Soviet infantry army and engineering division well worth the destruction of a very strong German anti-tank division. Though I doubt the Soviets in those units destroyed share that same sentiment.

Turn 32. Nov/Dec 1944. Axis #11.

Weather. Active (brutal) weather across the globe. Winter storms hit the Northern Hemisphere and rains/storms hit around the equator and in the Southern Hemisphere.

rkr1958 -> RE: Witness to World War 2. (8/8/2019 4:52:55 PM)

Turn 32. Nov/Dec 1944. Axis #11.

Actions. Both Germany and Japan take a combine. Italy, with really no units left, takes a pass.

German will use her combine to move two pre WW-1 Finnish battleships out into the Baltic to protect her supply of Swedish iron ore. More significantly, an order is sent to the German u-boat crews operating in the North Atlantic and Faeores Gap to locate and sink allied convoys in the hopes that such action will buy the Reich some time.

Japan will use her combine to move the two (just) reorg CP's out into the Sea of Japan. With storms raging there Japan's is confident (hopes) that these CP's will avoid detection by allied warships and submarines.

Turn 32. Nov/Dec 1944. Axis #11.

IJN. Sea of Japan. IJN CP's successfully avoid allied detection. But just barely (i.e., a roll of 3 instead of 4 would have found them).

Turn 32. Nov/Dec 1944. Axis #11.

End of Turn Check. Much to the delight of the axis and the disappointment of the allies this turn comes to an end.

rkr1958 -> RE: Witness to World War 2. (8/8/2019 8:31:24 PM)

Turn 32. Nov/Dec 1944. End of Turn.

Use Oil. Germany. Oil's still not an issue for Germany.

rkr1958 -> RE: Witness to World War 2. (8/8/2019 8:32:01 PM)

Turn 32. Nov/Dec 1944. End of Turn.

Use Oil. Japan. And neither is it for Japan.

rkr1958 -> RE: Witness to World War 2. (8/8/2019 8:33:08 PM)

Turn 32. Nov/Dec 1944. End of Turn.

Use Oil. Western Allies. And finally, allied oil output has seemingly (almost) caught up with allied reorg and production oil needs.

rkr1958 -> RE: Witness to World War 2. (8/8/2019 8:34:59 PM)

Turn 32. Nov/Dec 1944. End of Turn.

Use Oil. China. The one thing worth noting is that China has one and only one (saved) oil point. And the prospects of getting more from the allies anytime soon looks bleak too. So China will have to "nurse" this 1 oil point and not exceed 0.4 oil used during the reorg phase.

rkr1958 -> RE: Witness to World War 2. (8/8/2019 8:36:57 PM)

Turn 32. Nov/Dec 1944. End of Turn.

Use Oil. USSR. With Baku (finally) liberated and the rail line repaired linking Baku and that region to the rest of the Soviet Union, having enough resources for full production is no longer an issue. Also, the Soviets are building an impressive stockpile of saved oil.
