To prevent Steam from running on every boot, press the Windows key + R. Then type 'services.msc' as shown below. [image]https://i.imgur.com/iQMFkML.png[/image] In the services window, click on the 'Name' column to sort by name, then find the Steam entry: [image]https://i.imgur.com/GLT3ung.png[/image] Double-click it and change the setting from 'Automatic' to 'MANUAL'. DO NOT disable the service, otherwise Steam won't run even when you try to run it yourself. Also, use the handy utility Autoruns by Microsoft to prune what runs on boot. Just uncheck what you don't want to run; although be cautious, as you can disable things which your system needs. If in doubt, don't do it - but you can at least eliminate the obvious ones. I recommend not using it for services, as unchecking those completely disables them. Better to go into the services window and select 'Manual' so your system can still run the service when it's required.
