drleon -> How to prevent enemies from capitulation? (1/13/2019 4:38:04 PM)

I want to play my own scenario (created by myself) out of an historical context to last blood, to the last unit.
But regardless which side I play after some years when I get an advantage the enemies surrender without notice.
This concerns both Axis and Allies.
My question is: can I do something to play without such an option, to play without limitations?
How to switch off this option if possible?

Should be possible by clicking the decisions on or off before starting the game?

I unchecked all possible options, including 'surrender' in the scripts.
But didn't think about 'decisions'. Which decisions do U mean?
In the editor I designed 2200 as 'end date' no to complete the game too early, then removed all from 'victory conditions'.
Should I switch off something more in the editor? I will totally exclude the surrender option in enemies.

By the way, what happens if I choose 'simultaneously' instead of 'alternate' in the editor?
Will both sides move together? What influence on the speed of the game?

Yes I meant the scripts in the advanced tab.

In the campaign in the Editor, go to Campaign -> Edit Campaign Data -> Advanced

Then change the Victory Basis in the top left from Capitals to Objectives.

What this means is that countries won't follow the usual surrender rules, e.g. generally surrendering when their last capital is lost. Instead, they won't surrender, which is hopefully what you've been hoping to achieve.

Thank You very much!

It defines whether both sides's turns cover the same dates, or if they alternate, e.g. one side's turn is on the first two weeks of the month, the other covering the second half of the month.

It does make a difference when scripting, as having them as simultaneous means one has to use extra settings if you only want something to appear on the Axis or Allied turn.
