luigiamendola -> luigiamendola (Axis) vs ElvisJJonesRambo (Allies) (2/13/2019 2:01:55 AM)

It was not my intention to write a AAR. I was just searching for a human opponent for a PBEM game and ElvisJJonesRambo accepted the challenge. We started posting reports of our turns in the multiplayer forum. The result was really cool and I decided to create this thread. ElvisJJonesRambo wrote the first report, so our AAR starts on the second turn. I've discovered Strategic Command last month, so I am really an inexperienced player against a veteran. The situation until November 1939 is as follows:

(turn 2)
Game on!

Polish counter with all they got!
Von Rundsteadt takes couple hits, from two different units.
Bresleu is captured.
Both Panzer & an Army given two hits damage.
Poles doomed, they will fall on turn #2.

Chinese get popped on opening move at Changsta, ouch.
Looks like Nanning is his second favorite target.

India declares war along with French, Aussies, Brits.
(turn 3)
The poles are crushed. The chinese lose another army corps in the japanese advance towards Changsha, and japanese reinforcements arrive to the assalt on Nanning. Axis vessels disrupt all suply routes to the UK. Rundstedt recovers in a field hospital.
(turn 4)
French scurry along in the West. British learning of sunken supply ships across the globe. Irish ports seized. Chinese are getting hammered by double carriers in Nanning. The Japs making Changsta look like Chinese New Year's of Explosions, not good.
(turn 5)
The Chinese lose another army corps in a desperate defence of the strategic city of Chagsha.Nanning suffers heavy bombing from Japanese aircraft carriers. The germans prepare for the battle of France and the U-boat campaign continues with considerable sucess.

Atlantic: Disgusted by shipping losses in the Atlantic, the Royal Navy introduces itself by violent aircraft attacks against Heavy Cruiser. Excellent results, as the 3rd Reich just lost a surface ship. U-30 is spotted, given 2-damage. It's life & death on the high seas.

France: British ground forces enter the M-Line in the form of Corp. Germans leave an empty hex of Fatherland soil, it's probably a trap or he's staging for the Low Countries early. It's a little different playing Human-2-Human!

Far East: Nanning is being triple attacked by ground forces + HQ + Carriers. Changsta has seen double losses. Multiple Planes with the Rising Sun in Central China. The grandfathers of Walmart production centers shiver, no attacks. Scare reinforcement counters thrown into mountain pass.

1st: where is the multiplayer forum , please?

2nd: don't worry too much about losses by Chinese army, supposed you are Allied side as it seems to be from your post, China has almost endless units to deploy, a deep and difficult terrain, and you're just doing exactly what is expected and necessary from China: engaging, delaying and bleeding the Japanese for as much as possible, cavalry shall join later from abroad.

Edit: got the multiplayer section, found

December 1939

Atlantic: U-30 strength-8 has momentarily avoided my search :( That sucks. Took convoy hit still. West of Gibraltar, different U-Boat was rammed by British Destoryer, we both take health damage! Destoryer reduced to 4, U-Boat down to 5.

France: All quiet on the Western Front. French feel brave and conduct 1-1 attack from M-Line.

China: This dude is going psychotic on Nanning. He's selling out for this key city. Surrounded by 4 ground units, tons of Air & Naval Air. Japs gotta be weak somewhere, so up North where's he's avoided any attacks, Chinese ground units step out of entrenchments. As suspected, Garrisons.

January 1940

Atlantic: Chasing down couple U-boats. Lost the RN-Kent.
France: Brits lose Corp in the M-Line, this dude is working Straussberg
China: Not good, Changsta civilians getting hacked, city lost. Nanning on the ropes, doomed.

Any updates on this game? I was enjoying following along...

ElvisJJonesRambo -> RE: luigiamendola (Axis) vs ElvisJJonesRambo (Allies) (2/23/2019 12:16:41 PM)

Unfortunately, my 1st opponent has not returned the turn in over a week. I've won 2 other games since then & have 6 more going :) And this was my only AAR.

ElvisJJonesRambo -> RE: luigiamendola (Axis) vs ElvisJJonesRambo (Allies) (3/15/2019 4:20:30 AM)

You must be dead. Died from the early bashing. Seriously dude, lurking? It's only a game. Just resign.

ElvisJJonesRambo -> RE: luigiamendola (Axis) vs ElvisJJonesRambo (Allies) (3/20/2019 2:21:39 AM)

Dude disappeared, not going to count this for my stats, I'm too classy for that. Believe 1-month w/o playing automatically surrenders game, because it did not say "resigned". Game had just started, else I would have gone to the Judges cards.

No-Action

amandkm -> RE: luigiamendola (Axis) vs ElvisJJonesRambo (Allies) (3/21/2019 12:38:49 PM)

Shame, that. It's only a game. I'd like to think that people are mature enough to do the courtesy of resigning when they are getting pasted. In this case, it didn't even seem like the game had gotten to that point, though.

ElvisJJonesRambo -> RE: luigiamendola (Axis) vs ElvisJJonesRambo (Allies) (3/21/2019 8:41:41 PM)

Unfortunately, he has passed on. His old lady quoted as,"No more games for you. Tired of you sitting at that computer playing little boy games. The man i married was making big bucks, in shape, mowing the lawn. In the bedroom, i don't want to hear the sounds of submarines diving & listen about Operation Marketgarden. My mother was right, bless her soul!"
