HalfLifeExpert -> RE: CMANO updated to version 1.14.9 (2/13/2019 10:53:47 PM)

Yep, that's exactly what I am getting!

ultradave -> RE: CMANO updated to version 1.14.9 (2/13/2019 10:56:52 PM)

As another data point, I just downloaded and installed the update. I have no issues at all. I tried all the scenarios listed above both don't work and work. I also opened about 20 more, from LIVE, to selecting individual campaign scenarios, community and standalone and started 2 campaigns. No issues at all.

For comparison, I'm on a MacBook Pro (i5 with 8GB RAM and 1GB VRAM) and run using Parallels Desktop with W10.

Thank you!

DWReese -> RE: CMANO updated to version 1.14.9 (2/13/2019 11:00:35 PM)

I just checked the same scenarios that HalfLifeExpert advised about.

The same two worked for him also worked for me.

And, the same two that failed for him failed also failed for me.

I believe that he said that he got the update through Stream. I got mine through Matrix.

UPDATE!!!!!!!

I think I fixed it!!!!

By a one off suspicion, I looked at Windows update, and realized that I still had not installed .NET Framework 4.7.2.

I installed it, and restarted as prompted, and now all the scenarios I remember having the problem seem to load up normally now, and the new King of the Border scenario seems to be working properly too (The enemy bases were missing before).

stilesw -> RE: CMANO updated to version 1.14.9 (2/13/2019 11:05:21 PM)

FWIW, I have not had any problem loading any scenarios with this build.

DWReese -> RE: CMANO updated to version 1.14.9 (2/13/2019 11:06:04 PM)

How did you install .NET Framework 4.7.2? I believe that there is mention of that when the update is presented. Did you just install the update once again, on top of the old one?

HalfLifeExpert -> RE: CMANO updated to version 1.14.9 (2/13/2019 11:07:42 PM)

I'm on Windows 7, so I still have control over updates.

Since the fiasco over attempted forced upgrades to Windows 10, I had my settings set to put 'Recommended' updated under 'Optional'.

It was the only optional update I had, and it's been sitting there since July, so I decided "ah why not" and installed it.

DWReese -> RE: CMANO updated to version 1.14.9 (2/13/2019 11:11:07 PM)

I don't know where the file is to install it, or if you just re-install the update and it will land on top of it. Can you advise what exactly you did to install that specific file and where it came from?

HalfLifeExpert -> RE: CMANO updated to version 1.14.9 (2/13/2019 11:12:51 PM)

If you are on Windows 10 or 8.1, It may not be so simple.

Here's the apparent download page, you can try that. https://dotnet.microsoft.com/download/dotnet-framework-runtime/net472

Like I said, it was not installed at all. I installed it for the first time today via Windows Update, since I had elected not to install it.

Huh! That definitely could explain things, especially since I can't get the issue to replicate here. Thank you for taking the initiative to install that framework!

HalfLifeExpert -> RE: CMANO updated to version 1.14.9 (2/13/2019 11:18:22 PM)

Yes indeed, I hope the same thing will fix it for DWReese, I hope he's trying it now.

DWReese -> RE: CMANO updated to version 1.14.9 (2/13/2019 11:40:31 PM)

I did exactly what you said and it worked!

I do remember that the update often mentions that file (or some file) being up to date. I have personally never changed it because it has always worked. Well, I guess that this time the change was necessary.

There are a few more on here who were experiencing the same thing. This fix will probably work for them too.

Matrix should probably advise everyone that when they apply this update that they should make sure that this particular file is up to date. If it isn't, and they experience a problem, this will likely be the issue.

Great job, HalfLifeExpert! "Get you a case a beer for that one."

HalfLifeExpert -> RE: CMANO updated to version 1.14.9 (2/14/2019 5:52:07 AM)

I'm so happy it worked!!

I can't believe that this was resolved just by a simple hunch.[:)]

behemon < Is this working for you?

behemon -> RE: CMANO updated to version 1.14.9 (2/14/2019 11:56:24 AM)

Yes. Now all scenarios load as they should.
Thanks to everyone who helped to solve this problem.
