gargamel9 -> Problems with GMAP (2/14/2019 1:36:42 PM)

Hi there
I just installed GMAP and tried to add a captured PNG from the app into command.

but the game doesnt seem to do anything when I click in custom overlay add layer.
With the years and updates the info is a bit confusing but GMAP generates a PNG file only not a pgw.
That png apparently is not recognized by the game.
Any ideas?

GMAP saves .jpg files as far as I can remember (at least on my build). There is the option to create a worldfile. This creates a .jpgw file in the same folder where the .jpg is saved.

Now:

1. Convert the jpg-file to a png-file

2. Rename the suffix of the worldfile: .jpgw to .pgw

Both files have to be in the same folder for CMANO to recognize and load.

Ok now with the tip about worldfile I get the .png image and the .pngw file.
Still custom overlay doesnt seem to do anything but editor scenario attachments get me a warning
No suitable georeference file found for the image.

Can you try to rename the suffix from .pngw to .pgw?

I think that should solve the problem.

Hi!

Search the forum for my username, and you'll find a link to Baloogan's GMAP (recent forum posts).

Download and install. Super easy to do.

It cuts out all the mentioned steps (rename, etc) and makes awesome overlays!

The only two satellite map products that work are BingSatellite and ChinaGooogle, but they are enough.

I've made over 100 overlays and counting. Super-detailed.

I also GIMP 2.0 to touch up the colour, usually correcting the white balance only.
