Thanks!

A few months ago, I tried the Russian equivalent to SPAM, called Tushonka. During WW2, it was mass produced by the USA for the USSR, as a way of giving the Red Army a more familiar and traditional food

It is really tasty, I would say it tastes a lot better than SPAM or canned corned beef,

Gutsy guy! I don't think I could bring myself to stick some of that in my mouth.

Very good combined with canned pea soup, some onion and mustard.

C-rations or whatever were never know as cuisine.[:D]

Some of it was a little better hot. We used the exhaust stack of our duce-and-a-half if we had nothing else.[:D]

If you're hungry you'll eat it.[;)]

A tinfoil package tightly wrapped and wedged on the engine block during a long trip was my go-to hot meal (barring the presence of a restaurant of any kind!).

Not too many restaurant's on the DMZ of Korea. We did however trade some 'canned' goods for fresh stuff if we were far enough back to be in the vicinity of locals. What that did for relations between Allies I can not say.[:D]
