Marmadukethe1st -> Game will not reinstall (2/17/2019 4:19:15 AM)

I had this game up and running on W10 and my game partner and I ran into a problem with an alert. The alert was that my cache was to full and I knew this was not true because I had just emptied it.

I uninstalled the game to see if that would help and once I did no matter what I try it looks like it is unpacking the files and game engine but when I look in the folder - nothing is there. I get the message at the end for a succesful install but nothing is being extracted.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance
Marmaduke

the messages is either a low hard drive space alert or like it says it's needs some more free memory, so either sort out the hard drive or re boot and try, apps like ccleaner will or would sort out these sort of issues, but tbh without a full report it's really hard to say, so just a guess tbh

could be one of many things, too many restore points, a poor AV acting up, or registry errors from too many upgrades and restore points, where removing some of the older windows version being kept fixes it.

or the plain and simple one for windows 10, which is run and install as admin, giving higher permissions if the main user isn't a full administrator etc

Thanks Zakblood,

I think you may have nailed it with the restore points. I have plenty hard drive and ram.

I will try cleaning the registry.

with so many builds and upgrades on windows 10, and as some have moved also from previous versions, the amount of data stored now is getting to a point where a good clean out of all, or a fresh install on the next version of windows, never effected me, as do a clean install, not a upgrade on each new version which come out, but the error is and has been noted, so the next new build will alter that fact, if all goes well in the testing, it should be out for April and sort out the issue once and for all, hopefully[;)]
