My advice is to aim to take byte sized pockets in DC Barbarossa, not the grand encirclements like you would do in WITE, unless you are playing a more long and wide swathe strategy, but just don't expect to have your Infantry keep up and hold the pockets. Playing DC Barbarossa from WITE is like switching between the difference movements costs from German T1 to the rest of the game. That said you can advance quite rapidly along the double tracked rail & roads in this game so you can do some express runs with your Panzers & Mot Divisions especially in the Baltics and along the Moscow highway, but completely forget about perfecting a 'greater Lvov pocket' in the south on T1. Best I do there is get a full Lvov pocket on T3-T4. The other thing is that I find it a lot slower at railway conversions and the whole relocating of the FSB stuff can really slow your German fast units down, plus the Infantry seem to move at a much reduced speed in your own territory unlike how they do in WITE. You can drive for a bit along the Moscow highway at times, for example off the top of my head I've capture both Orsha and Smolensk on T6 with a fast Division on the next turn after cutting off and capturing Minsk, on T5. But the Infantry might just be getting to Minsk when I do that and will probably take another four turns to march to Smolensk! Plus by then you will need to perform one or two FSB relocations to supply fuel to your spearhead, while the Russians will start plonking new extra large stacks of Divisions at HQs and towns in the vicinity, which you will have to fight frontally (or you can retreat from, but you just wasted fuel if you do IMHO) with your Panzer spearheads without Infantry support also as their trucks supply columns excessively wear down their truck numbers. Personally I think it is better to pace your advance with the Infantry manoeuvring left and right forming near range pockets that your Infantry can be in range of assisting in destroying rather than plunging head long east with your Panzers on an ever degrading hair thin shoe string LOS.
