Lowpe seems very adamant producing this aircraft. It also seems its main purpose will be retaliation against DD bombardment raids. Now he's dealt with PBEM opponents, so considering his experience I'll have to defer to him.
Now that doesn't mean I'd R&D the plane, but it doesn't mean I can't produce some of them either. This aircraft comes into play in Jan. '43 naturally, that's the 'IIb'. The 'c' version comes in Aug. '43, and the only difference between the two is one forward firing rifle caliber MG. Now I don't see too much DD action against my bases before '43. I haven't played the Allies, but I imagine that most of these vessels will have their hands full with 'other duties' prior to that time. Once '43 comes around I know the Allies (especially the U.S.) should begin getting many of these ships and that's the same time the Lily DB will be available. So what's the issue? Won't it be sufficient to begin Lily DB production in '43? That is of course if one sees a need.
