I hunted through, malware, spyware and just plain evilware websites until I found them - two exe's comprising Andrew Glenn's (IronX's) Red Storm over Europe mod for Squad Battles Vietnam v1.6-7. Better (imo) than any modern SB game put out by Tiller yet - or real close. This is no "graphics" mod. The OOB is huge and everything (pretty much) has been updated, including counters, pix, etc. to Cold War period.

I hope you're still out there somewhere IronX. You are indeed "the man."

And now for something really stupid: I mistakenly trashed the exe's and cannot find the elusive website in my History. I do have a working copy of the full game if any owners of Vietnam would know how to compress the whole thing. Really a gem to be shared with others.

Are you using a PC? If so, you can compress the whole mod folder by right-clicking it and selecting Send To > Compressed (zipped) Folder, then upload the .zip file to your fileshare site of choice. As long as you don't compress the entire game folder, just the mod contents.

Definitely interested in checking out the mod. I don't have SB: Vietnam, but I might have to pick it up to try this out.

Unfortunately, the installer (which I can't believe worked) put the modded files all over the place. The only way is to pack up the entire game folder. Not that I know anything.

If someone had Vietnam, they'd have to copy all my files over the install and it should technically work. Two games for the price of one.

Looked it up , it was "Red Star over Europe" ; hopefully someone can supply a download, it doesn't seem to be available any more.

Not sure it's the same IronX, but someone of that name posts in the SCWAW mod forum and did a wonderful visual mod for that game.

I was playing Red Star over Europe a couple months ago. I have those install files and I believe the ones for the Arab-Israeli wars mod too.
Sorry the earliest I can upload them to Dropbox or something is tomorrow night. Dropbox is free for a small file size right?

I think everything you need for ROE, and AIW is here. Plus a couple art mods Ive picked up for SB games.

Yes, in my experience dropbox gives you a lot before they start asking for money.

I figured someone might have it. Was so frustrated I deleted it. It is a total makeover, but admittedly have only scratched the surface, so can't comment on any bugs.
