blackcloud6 -> [WAD] Strike Tutorial 4 ctril-F1 problem (4/3/2019 1:49:57 PM)

I've played the Strike Tutorial #4 "Laser Dance" numerous times and cannot get the aircraft to drop their Paveways when using ctrl-F1. I allocate the weapon, as the scenario instructions tell me to, to the designated target and the harriers just fly in circles and do nothing. the green weapons plot is present but still they do nothing. But if I then go in and deallocate the weapon and the simply designate a target and hit F1, the aircraft attack and drop their weapons. So, am I doing something wrong or is there a problem with Ctrl-f1? Two files attached (in one zip file), one is with the weapons allocated with Ctrl-F1 and one after using just F1 and the weapon has just been dropped.

I play through steam with the latest updates including the latest databases.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi, Ctrl-F1 is for bearing only launch (BOL). This is not used for weapons like Paveway, but rather more for weapons like Harpoon to launch on a specific waypoint.

Well, OK, but the tutorial instruction tells you to actually use Ctrl-F1 to allocate the weapon to the target. Is this an error by the scenario designer?

Yes, it would be an error if the tutorial said to use Ctrl-F1.
The mission briefing mentions Shift-F1
