Just in case you need a spare.

After a long morning on the driving range, I stopped in
at Hooter's to see some friends and have some Hot Wings and iced tea.

After being there for a while, one of my friends asked
me which waitress I would like to be stuck in an elevator with.

I told them, "The one who knows how to fix elevators."

I'm old, I'm tired, and I pee a lot.

Will do. Ignoring thread...

CB60 -> RE: Junk thread-pls ignore (4/20/2019 7:31:41 PM)

I rarely if ever post on this forum. So it only stands to reason that I would not, under any circumstances, post in this thread as it has been clearly stated that any and all contents herein must be disregarded.

How to protect yourself from the psychological effects of ignoring someone.

What To Do When Someone wants you to ignore them
1.Give The Person Space. If you feel the urge to bombard the other person with questions and demands, you're not alone! ...
2. Make Sure That The Person Really wants to be Ignored by You. ...
3.Think About Why The Person Could Be desiring to be ignored by you. ...
4.Avoid Overreacting. ...
5.Don't Let It Consume You. ...
6.Meet with the person in the thread if possible. ...
7.Apologize If Necessary.

Orm -> RE: Junk thread-pls ignore (4/21/2019 9:26:28 AM)

Thank you for the protocol for protecting oneself against any psychological effects of ignoring someone.

However, what is the protocol for actually ignoring something in a thread? I need instructions for that. Please assist.

What to do when you want to ignore something in a thread

1Take a break.
Take a break from what’s enticing you in the thread by re-focusing your energy on positive, relaxing, and/or enjoyable activities.
Taking a bath.
Read a book.
Play a wargame you enjoy.
2.Distract Yourself
Visit other threads on the Matrix sight and start posting "gibberish" if necessary.
Create a thread of your own. Occupying your time responding to those who post on your thread.
3.Get fresh air
If you can’t get outside, imagine a place you enjoy or would rather be.
4.Reach out for help.
At a certain point it may be too difficult to distract yourself from the thread. Reach out to your Matrix members/fiends for a real therapeutic response of Humor, sarcasm, nonsensical response, changing topic with gibberish, warnings, perspectives.
5.Try grounding techniques.
Grounding techniques rather then focus on that thread. Simply focus in on one of your five senses. Then once focused repeat several times out-loud to yourself. "I don't need that thread" , "I'm better then that".

Zorch -> RE: Junk thread-pls ignore (4/21/2019 3:26:42 PM)

"Yesterday, upon the stair,
I met a thread who wasn't there!
He wasn't there again today,
Oh how I wish he'd go away!"

When I came home last night at three,
The thread was waiting there for me
But when I looked around the hall,
I couldn't see him there at all!
Go away, go away, don't you come back any more!
Go away, go away, and please don't slam the door...

Last night I saw upon the stair,
A little thread who wasn't there,
He wasn't there again today
Oh, how I wish he'd go away...

GaryChildress -> RE: Junk thread-pls ignore (4/21/2019 9:37:37 PM)

I can't believe people are still posting in this thread. [:-]

GaryChildress -> RE: Junk thread-pls ignore (4/21/2019 9:37:51 PM)

Err...um...I mean...FROM HERE FORWARD people should ignore this thread.

KingHart -> RE: Junk thread-pls ignore (4/21/2019 10:11:28 PM)

If we do ignore this thread, does it just go away?

sPzAbt653 -> RE: Junk thread-pls ignore (4/21/2019 11:11:30 PM)

Just checking in to make sure that I didn't ignore something important.

JReb -> RE: Junk thread-pls ignore (4/21/2019 11:27:08 PM)

How can we possibly ignore the most important thread ever created on the internet. [:D] We lumberjacks will never do it.

I'm a lumberjack and I'm OK
I sleep all night and I work all day.

He's a lumberjack and he's OK
He sleeps all night and he works all day.

I cut down trees, I eat my lunch
I go to the lavatory.
On Wednesdays I go shopping and have buttered scones for tea

He cut down trees, he eat his lunch
He go to the lavatory.
On Wednesdays he go shopping and has buttered scones for tea.

He's a lumberjack and he's OK
He sleeps all night and he works all day.

I cut down trees, I skip and jump
I like to press wild flowers.
I put on women's clothing and hang around in bars.

He cuts down trees, he skips and jumps
He likes to press wild flowers.
He puts on women's clothing and hangs around in bars.

He's a lumberjack and he's OK
He sleeps all night and he works all day.

I cut down trees, I wear high heels
Suspendies and a bra.
I wish I'd been a girlie, just like my dear momma!

Right. Now what? I am obviously in need of further help since I continue to post here.

Please, do not get me wrong. Your 5 steps were helpful. And it kept me away for hours...

Zap -> RE: Junk thread-pls ignore (4/22/2019 10:54:51 AM)

I'm afraid you may be suffering (together with others posting here) from a certain "ism." Called "adagium, or neclego,",from the Latin. Definitely, a very insidious "ism". This one may be beyond my expertise.

Zap -> RE: Junk thread-pls ignore (4/22/2019 5:38:15 PM)

You may need a specialist, like a ChickenBoy, Warspite or one of the other clever posters.

Zorch -> RE: Junk thread-pls ignore (4/22/2019 6:11:46 PM)

Never has so much been written by so many about so little (recycled post).

jwarrenw13 -> RE: Junk thread-pls ignore (4/22/2019 8:25:33 PM)

I have to disagree with the OP here. He states he needs multiple posts yet only posts one post. Something is very odd here. Could he be a Russian hacker?

I seriously doubt it. He is fairly active on the Bombing the Reich sub-forum. I think it got resolved without the need of further posting here.

Ah, yes, That is a fact, Orm! Here in these threads you will find the historical archives, of the "pure gibberish fables". Though the participants would swear that my characterization of them is inaccurate. Because they would claim they are packed with actual facts.
With all due respect to those time honored and highly regarded participants, I would call the post in those threads = Lol [sm=vomit-smiley-020.gif] [sm=Crazy-1271.gif] [sm=00000729.gif] There is an exception to my description of their post. If you should find any where that I may have posted. You can rest assured my contributions were only meant to give some credibility to those threads. My post were factual truth.

Hey Orm,

Your wonderful words from the other post are appropriate to place in this thread lest we forget "Always nice to see spammers talking to each other." see post #27 [;)]
