Christolos -> Nanjing 100% Axis with Chinese Flag? (4/10/2019 6:48:38 PM)

Is there something I'm missing with the picture below:

Why does Nanjing display the Chinese flag when it is 100% Axis?

Thanks,

C

This should represent the flag of the japanese puppett state, the Reorganized National Government of the Republic of China. It was nearly the same.

The flag of the puppet state of Nanjing is almost identical to the Nationalist flag.

The Japanese did this on purpose to lend legitimacy to their puppet state.

If you look at the Nanjing flag very closely, you'll notice that it has a yellow banner with writing on it across the top of the flag.

There were three versions of the Nanjing flag.

One had a yelow banner inscribed with "Peace, Anti-Communism and National Construction", one of them had "Peace and Anti-Communism", and one of them had "Peace and National Construction".

Given the small size it's hard to say which of the three is used in the game.

(And yes, this is the kind of thing I worry about in my Historical Flags mod).

Wang jingwei is a traitor to China, just like Vlasov of Soviet. He use the nearly same Chinese flag , because he want to represent China Govent.
