MVokt -> Town/Cities names not showed in the Military Report (4/25/2019 5:24:04 PM)

In a mod I have been working on and now updating and testing it for 1.16, names for the cities/towns captured are not showed in the Military Report. It only shows "Town captured" or "City captured" but the name of the captured towns are omitted.

There are two places where the name is logged - On Map and in the Location Properties. Right click on the location to see if maybe there is no name there, and if so maybe that is the reason.

Checked out and names are fine and correctly showed in the properties pop up window. It has to be caused by any change due to the 1.16 update because under 1.15 this didn't happen. Thanks anyway for the suggestion.

We'll have an official update for v1.16 out soon, and what I would suggest is to re-save your mod using the official v1.16 Editor and then with a fresh game start let me know if the issue persists.

OK,thanks.

Names of cities continued not to be showed in the Military Report even after applying the update.

One thing I have checked out is that .txt files within Text subfolder on My Documents/SCWIE/Campaigns folder are completely empty, not showing any city name there. Could this be the reason why they aren't showed?

MVokt,

Thanks for the info and I would suggest the following:

1) make a full backup of your campaign, including subfolders

2) delete the subfolder in your campaign called 'Text'

3) open your campaign in the Editor, this folder and all applicable files will be re-created by the Editor

4) make a change in your campaign, and then save the campaign. This will re-generate all resource and other names within the text files.

5) open the file called Text\resource.txt and verify that you see the city names in there.

6) test again in game starting a fresh game with this recently rebuilt/resaved version of your campaign and let me know if that fixes it for you.

Hubert

Followed those steps but it didn't work. Don't know if other mods are experiencing problems with this either.

Hi Hubert,

Somehow through the continuous tweaking that I'm doing to the mod through playtesting, and through the many saves done, names of the mod got compiled in the corresponding .txt files and now they are correspondingly showed in the Military Report pop up window.

Thanks!
