ahuyton -> New player looking for a pbem game (4/27/2019 1:21:25 PM)

Hi everyone

I recently bought the game and have played through one scenario (North Africa) against the pc. Would love to play pbem, though I confess the game is still confusing to me in some aspects.

Happy to play at a leisurely pace if need be or up to a turn a day (roughly speaking) and happy to get beaten up by someone more experienced [:)]

Open to offers and a suggested scenario.

If you don’t get a response by next week let me know. I have 4 ongoing but would not mind a fifth. I am still brushing off the rust after a 10 year hiatus or so away from TOAW.

Thanks for this. I had one offer by pm from another relative beginner so I think hat we will stumble through the game together, or at least I ill.

Would be also happy to play yourself so why don't you let me now when you have time and we can give it a try?

Alan

If you don't mind going somewhat slow, I can probably do 1-3 turns a week, maybe more maybe less. On average 2 per week for sure if it's medium sized or smaller. Any preferences in era?

I know a 'fun' one we can do if your interested. Its called Russian Campaign 1941-1945. Its very easy and fun.

It does look like the old board war game if you don't mind that. I think it looks and plays really good.

Here is a couple of Screen Shots:

There's a set of scenarios in the "Road to Moscow" series and I playtested several of them.
You might want to give that a try. I'm just saying......

Thanks for these various suggestions.

Zovs, I would like to try Russian Campaign. I have not played the board game for about 35 years but I remember it well. If however you prefer to try Larry's scenarios, I am up for that as well.

Sure ahuyton (Andy/Adam/Aaron Huyton?), you want to be Germans or Russians?

I'll be way this weekend so wont get to any turns till next weekend.

I downloaded the file I believe from either Larry's list or from Steve.

Russian Campaign 1941-1945

I believe this is the file.

It's Alan [:)]

I am happy to play either side but would be interested to see how you do with the Germans. I had a quick go against the AI yesterday evening and it rapidly became very difficult for the Axis player. I can set up the game on the server and we can play at a relaxed pace. Password is: alan
