I've only watched a few minutes, but thus far the narration seems a bit melodramatic (the US hadn't surrendered yet!) and the grammar is poor (referring to Japan as "they" rather than "it," for instance).

Its a fine line I walk between pedantry and discernment! Who is it whose sig says, "I am the Holy Roman Emperor and thus above grammar"? I think its crsutton. :)
