1. I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled v1 and v1.04 release.
2. I started a '44 Long Campaign from scratch playing as the Allies.
3. As shown, multiple blank lines are evident while trying to assign Fighter Escorts.
4. One of the "blank lines" is obviously different than the others....
5. This mission planning was started immediately after starting the game from the desktop and loading a saved game saved at the end of last turn.

May have inadvertently included an incorrect file on that save game link. That is, I found the error, exited the game without saving AT THE ERROR and the above post is the savegame at the end of the previous turn.

I need more step by step detail on how to replicate this. I built a raid off of your second save file and cant get the blank lines to appear. I modified your 2nd raid by adding escorts and I do see the blank lines, but your first raid does not.

Did you go through 2 or 3 turns with no errors and then all of a sudden during the next planning phase it started happening?
Does the error occur after a save during the planning phase, or does it just happen regardless?
Does it happen when you build a raid, or when you modify a raid, or both?

The 2nd file I linked is Day 3. Didn't notice it happen on the previous turns - first turn was mostly recon missions and I had the program do all missions for Bomber Command and Southern Europe/Italy.

Not quite sure how to answer this. I save at the beginning of each turn and at various times throughout the Planning Phase. I occasionally Save and Quit to the desktop, then come back later, load the saved game and continue Planning - but I do not modify raids that were saved before quitting/re-loading&continuing based on previous advice/comments from you in other threads.

Shrug. I never know when it will happen. It doesn't always occur when assigning escorts.

In this specific case, that is in v1.04 Release, it was when I first tried to add escorts and had sorted the list by aircraft type. Sticking strictly to v1.04 Release (not Beta), I haven't modified enough raids to say much more about when it happens. But I can reproduce this "blank line" display multiple times using that 2nd linked save game in numerous different raids as I make them.

However, in the v1.04 Beta, I noticed it happen both when initially building a raid and while modifying raids. I had occasionally loaded a save game, built a raid and noticed it while building and noticed it while modifying a raid after finding I had escorts available for assignment after building other raids with their escorts.

I think this is related to saving without completing the planning phase. We will get to the bottom of this.

That sounds possible. However, I don't see why Saving would alter in-game database pointers if one didn't actually exit a game (to either the Main Menu or the desktop).[&:] But of course I don't have any clue or knowledge about the underlying code/logic.

I definitely Save more than once before completing the Planning Phase, as often as after each planned raid/fighter sweep. Being able to do so is an absolute must in my opinion.[:(]
