I just bought the game, hard copy. The (hardcover!) manual came with one disk. I just attempted to install the game and after loading from the disk, a message popped up asking to insert disk #2. There IS NO disk #2, or #3, or whatever - only one disk. Anyone from Matrix support staff monitoring this forum or do I need to call customer support?

Someone will usually respond, holiday weekend. I think you can still download and install. no? They should send you the whole set tho.

I got the hardback manual as well.
There is indeed only 1 disk.
I don't recall if I got a pop up asking for disk #2 or not. I suggest just hitting the 'ok' button without (obviously) changing disks.

Note: Either way you will have to download the latest version anyway, using the disk might just make it easier to set up/auto enter the purchase code and other peripherals (id/account for pbem etc...)

Thanks for the replies. Taxman66 - When I got the message for disk #2, I did try the "ok" button, received another error message, then hit "cancel." The error message dropped and the installer window just froze, and then dropped off as well. I sent a Helpdesk request, just waiting for a reply. Until then, War in the Pacific: AE demands my attention!

Maybe bad disk? You can register the game in Members Area and download a clean install version. Try that?

sorry i missed the thread, but advice offered is correct, just register your serial number in your account and download the game from there

it will be in the same format, when asking for another disk, it means it wants you to point to where the files are,.

if downloaded, where even your download folder is, on a disk, it's always in the folder where the game is, so as it's a multi part installer, there are more than one file, but tbh it should always find the files, so yes maybe a corrupt disk so contact support anyway, but use the download for now, good luck and sorry for the late reply
