When you run the attached scenario for a half in game hour or so (it accepts high time compression so it'll only take half a minute) you'll see some MPAs locating an enemy carrier group and triggering a mixed land/air ASuW strike.

While the ASBMs work as intended and the planes also launch as normal, when the latter close to weapons range they refuse to fire their missiles, instead they keep closing until they enter SAM range and are downed. If you repeat the test with the enemy carrier on weapons hold the strikers simply close until they overfly the ships, and just keep there until they run low of fuel and must jettison ordnance and RTB.

I've found a workaround in which if you assign all ships in the group and not only the Kaga as targets, the missiles are launched as intended. But I shouldn't be forced to do that if want to concentrate the firepower in the HVU instead.

I tried this on the latest fixes build and the planes attacked without intervention. Lost 2 that closed too close; no sure why but the follow-on planes with the same load-out fired from the expected range.

I'll try it on the latest release to see what happens.

It could be related to the strike targets only issue.

I ran the save under latest release build 1009.27.12, and it appeared to run okay. Is that the same version you were using??

I didn't do anything apart from load the save, and run the game at 15sec compression until the missiles started to appear and then fell back to 5sec to observe.

I did basically the same, (different time compression but I highly doubt that matters) so I haven't the foggiest idea of what's happening here, try giving it to another person to see what happens, and if it also doesn't appear to them, mark this as NO REPRO and I'll keep using the workaround.
