I must admit it only recently started to bother me yet it seems quite at the basics.

When unit is in stationary position (as in resting or refiting and not dug in) it has the highest strenght. While once moved and in combat stance the strenght deteriorate substantially.
This makes little sense. A refitting unit should have less of combat strenght than an unit in combat stance. Same for unit in transit (moving at speed but not in transport).

I just cannot understand the underlying logic for a resting unit to be stronger than the one in a combat stance.

Does the game recognize unit stance or is it at absteact level?

PS. I gather from the manual that fatigue and supply are computed into the strenght, aren't they?
