Nowi Ribak -> AI files (6/15/2019 4:02:45 PM)

Hello everyone,

as I understand the scenario loads a "script-collection", i.e. AI file, randomly when starting/loading.

Now do we know which file has which path programmed?
I would like a proper setup for my Scen. 2, because we sure do invest a lot of time in this game.

Thx in advance

You get a "proper" setup with whatever script is chosen.

Real players don't need to know in advance what the AI is going to do in the future.

Is there a list like:

AI-File 1 = Jap invades according to historical plans
AI-File 2 = Jap invades according to historical plans + Australia
AI-File 3 = Jap invades according to historical plans + Hawaii
etc.

Anyone?

EDIT: It's not about knowing what they will do, but about having max. aggression & interesting gameplay.

This game uses indefinite situations and outcomes to create the FOW that real commanders had to contend with. There are 13 scripts for Scenario 1, and they might apply to Scenario 2 as well. The AI picks one at game start and that script will have a series of targets and dates to start and end efforts to take the target or defend a target already held. I think there is also some random raiding script to keep things interesting.

Because the Computer opponent will keep trying to take a place without analysis of the strength of the target, it can quickly be stymied by a strong defence.

You do not need a maximum power effort against the Computer Opponent - in fact you must restrain your power if you want the game to go on more than about nine months. Alfred is telling you not to look up the computer scripts and play as in real life with what fragments of info you can gather.

Play scenario 10.

Better still, search up the ironman thread here and download the triple nasty version.
