I'm not sure if this is was accidentally changed, but SEAD Missions don't seem to be working.

This is a test scenario where two F-16s have been tasked with on a SEAD Patrol Mission where an enemy radar has been located. The exact location has been pinpointed. If you desire, you have the ability to manually fire the HARMs at the radar. In other words, it's ready to fire. But, it never does.

I've tried it with some F/A-18s also. Still, they refuse to fire.

I've tried TIGHT and FREE settings in the WRA, along with Optimistic, and it still won't fire.

Hi Doug,

you use an AAW patrol mission for your SEAD mission, in this condition your planes will only attack the planes.
If you use a SEAD Patrol it will work.
Be careful to modify the ROE, they are on HOLD by default.

You are correct. It was my error. I repeated the scenario numerous time before reporting it, and each time it failed to work That is why I reported it.

My problem was, EACH of my experiments were flawed because each erroneously started with a AAW Mission, instead of the desired SEAD Mission. Each time I failed to do anything other than to change out aircraft and ordinance, but failed to change the actual mission's patrol. So, garbage in, and garbage out.

Thanks for locating the issue so quickly. Sometimes, you are too close to forest that you don't even notice the trees. <lol>

Hey Doug,

I'd really like to say that I've never done the same thing - why won't this damn mission work???? Oops...

Thankfully I (usually) learn from it.
