MVokt -> How many aircrafts an air counter represents? (7/2/2019 11:02:23 AM)

I have seen that in the shots of product page, air units counters are invariably represented with a 3 eks (xxx) symbol above, thus representing an air unit with the size of an Air Force (according to niehorster site air units symbology). Air Forces were formed by a huge number of aircrafts and examples of them could be the USAF numbered Air Forces or Germany's Luftflotten.

I guess that air units in War Plan represents lots of aircrafts but probably not as many as they could be in an Air Force sized unit. If this is so, wouldn't be more appropriate to use a symbol with only 2 eks (xx) for an Air Command sized unit or even the 1 eks symbol (x) for Wing (USAF)/Group(RAF) sized air units?

300-400 combat ready aircraft per counter.
15-20 per strength point

Thanks for the reply. Guessing then than the 3 eks symbol (xxx) accounts for a Luftwaffe Air Corps sized unit (Fliegerkorps) which effectively accounted for more or less that number of aircrafts.
