"The long-forgotten remains of Britain's largest World War II prisoner of war camp, which held captives including Hitler's short-lived successor as ruler of the Third Reich, has been uncovered in woodlands in Sheffield. "Lodge Moor POW camp held around 11,000 prisoners from Germany, Italy and Ukraine at its peak in 1944, but had been left to nature and disappeared underneath shrubbery and soil for decades.
