The Russians are shaking in their flip-flops.

Yaab -> RE: OT: A Cohesive Force or Not? (7/24/2019 8:16:52 AM)

Fortress troops for Eben Emael?

Gregg -> RE: OT: A Cohesive Force or Not? (7/24/2019 4:21:53 PM)

Yikes, a bunch of teenage Civil Air Patrol Cadets can "March" better than that.

geofflambert -> RE: OT: A Cohesive Force or Not? (7/24/2019 10:44:27 PM)

When I was frog marched to detention in school I did a much better imitation of a frog.

fcooke -> RE: OT: A Cohesive Force or Not? (7/27/2019 10:10:53 PM)

Looks like the Belgians need to hire the Gorn.....or maybe some Finns - they were very pesky to the USSR in WW2 - and somehow made Buffaloes work.

Blame the cobblestone - hard to walk on [:'(]

The latter point especially true if you are wearing the hobnailed boots with steel clickers on the heel! There is a reason railroads use steel wheels on steel rails- the friction coefficient is the lowest available for land movement!

Somebody sounds like an engineer......

GetAssista -> RE: OT: A Cohesive Force or Not? (8/7/2019 8:28:17 AM)

I believe those are special needs guys. Pure participation unit not representative of the army by far

RangerJoe -> RE: OT: A Cohesive Force or Not? (8/7/2019 7:50:56 PM)

Walking while inebriated on wet cobblestones is not fun . . .

rustysi -> RE: OT: A Cohesive Force or Not? (8/8/2019 10:54:16 PM)

Even if he isn’t, a fine compliment.

Those were definitely special needs cadets.

Here is bit more refined stuff...

I didn't know Cliff Robertson was Canadian. Oh yes, he was born in La Jolla CA. Which province is that in?

The 'CA' stands for Canadian. Amazing how Canada owned so many heavy cruisers in WWII.

With due respect to Cliff Robertson, La Jolla CA and all Heavy Cruisers everywhere.

Yaab -> RE: OT: A Cohesive Force or Not? (8/9/2019 7:24:29 PM)

How many Canadians are augmented by Eidos Montreal?

Macclan5 -> RE: OT: A Cohesive Force or Not? (8/9/2019 7:27:37 PM)

Pamela Anderson, Justin Beiber, Ted Cruz in the most obvious ways.

No other Canadians / Canadiens are augmented.

I mean have you ever seen a photo of Wayne Gretzky - a Hockey Immortal ?

RangerJoe -> RE: OT: A Cohesive Force or Not? (8/9/2019 7:36:32 PM)

You proudly claim Justin Beiber? I think that the Guess Who/BTO would be the better choice to claim . . .

Macclan5 -> RE: OT: A Cohesive Force or Not? (8/9/2019 7:53:38 PM)

No I do not proudly claim them... [8D]

I was asked how many are 'augmented' - larger than reality - (games studio Montreal)

Only 3 Canadians are augmented [:D]

The rest of us are apologetic, humble, hockey fans who drink superior beer in a superior Nation [;)]

--

I do proudly proclaim : Guess Who , BTO, and generally all others.

(Mike Myers, Rush, Alexander Graham Bell, James Naismith, Frederick Banting, AVRO Arrow and its impact on NASA, Hockey, Curling, and above politely waiting in line, being politely apologetic)

William Shatner is on "Canadian probation"

At least you describe yourself better than other Canadians who state "We are not Americans!"

Since you mentioned William Shatner, what about James Doohan?

BTW, I prefer German Bier but when I have had Moosehead, it reminds me of a German Lager although it is weak.

Our water-beer mass produced beer like (Coors and Budweiser) is disappearing here. We have so many micro-brewery plants with great product opening up that the old standards are being left on the shelf. You pay a bit more for the micro-brews, but they are so much more satisfying it is worth it. Two beers normally does me for an evening.

RangerJoe -> RE: OT: A Cohesive Force or Not? (8/9/2019 9:36:16 PM)

Good micro-beers on the Canadian prairie? Maybe I will have to revisit the place. Of course, when I went there before it was NOT to sample such delights.

Wow, now I picture a Deus Ex DLC from Eidos Montreal titled "Canada Revolution", in which Canada creates first ever Augmented Hockey League. In the course of the game it is revealed that Pavel "The Magician" Datsyuk was the first augmented human player in hockey history, which leads to nation-wide riots in Canada and Detroit. Later, Adam Jensen is sent to infiltrate the league and expose the nano-machinations of its owners.
