General Mayhem -> Does the update to 5.2 work? (6/24/2001 7:42:00 PM)

Shouldn't version number in the first menu of SPWAW show 5.2 if I've updated to it? I still get 5.01, despite I've installed twice succesfully the update. I also don't get the bug with rifles vs. infantry. So I guess I don't have 5.2. Using Windows 2000.

My version now reads V5.2...Something seems wrong with your dl.

Not a big harm if this update doesn't work, just hope future updates do. I do not get any error messages, so I suspect problem is not at this end.

Make sure you install the update in the correct folder and did not get a duplicte folder inside you Steel Panthers folder. This is what happen to me. If you do have a Steel Pathers folder inside you Steel Panther folder just copy all the files into the higher folder. Hope this helps.

Thanks, I do have like you said. I was bit wondering this myself, but as installation of SPWAW is not in C: and it's folder called 'Steel Panthers World at War' which is folder name is included in the original path with C:, I automatically updated it in same path(but without 'Matrix) but to diffrent drive. Logically, it should have worked that way too. I guess I should have used the drive alone instead of my 'Steelpanthers' folder. Apparently the installation program automatically presumes there is atleast two folders(or drive and folder) before 'Steel panthers world at war' and I missed one, so it then created itself one?
