As if drones aren't enough, now a small machine can airlift humans over long distances .... how do you secure your borders from this?

Instead of a wall you just install lots of super powerful fans to blow the pesky flyboard jockeys back to where they came from! [:D]

Seriously, very cool and the tech will only get better.

Man, we have to stop those Canadians and Canadiens from crossing our border. I propose we train golden eagles to attack them, and as a backup have vigilantes in autogyros mounted with machine guns.

The thing has very limited endurance, something like 10 to 12 minutes at best, and a 10 something mile maximum range.
He has to refuel just to make the 22 mile trip across the Channel.
It also has a limited lift capacity, so what you saw was about it as far as load out goes.
Also, it is a bit on the noisy side, so much for sneaking up on someone flying one of those things.

For that to be practical, they would have to "swarm" a position with many of those hoverboards, to be effective.

So we can stop worrying about fat Canadians and Canadiens.

And the Wright brothers flew 100 feet, more or less, carrying the same cargo as this hoverboard. And 10 years later armies were using them (bi-planes) to drop stuff on other armies. It's only a matter of time.

Triple-mount 25mm IJN AA gun.

How about this as a combat platform?

I want a flying chariot powered by Pegasus and some of his ilk.

Swarming is exactly what I see happening. And as someone mentioned, the tech will get better - longer ranged and with more lifting capacity. Just build a motorNOTcycle like machine for the operator and attach weapons to it.

Goodwood! Are they trying to attract more women to use their product? Will they be satisfied with the product performance? Time will tell ...
