Michael T -> A few questions (8/26/2019 12:51:01 AM)

1. Is release still mid October?
2. Any chance of seeing some finished parts of the manual?
3. When will we see a playtester Human V Human AAR?

Meteor2 -> RE: A few questions (8/26/2019 6:58:36 PM)

No answer, still?
An AAR with two humanste or against the computer opponent would be appreciated.

AlvaroSousa -> RE: A few questions (8/26/2019 9:11:13 PM)

So far hoping mid October but things can always change with something unexpected. Like I have a hurricane coming right at me at the moment.

AAR - The beta testers were thinking about posting one. I am focused on making the game better for everyone.

Manual - While WarPlan is easy to play in terms on interface there is a lot of depth to the game that players won't initially see. So between the beta tests we are fine tuning some of the rules to make sure they are balanced and fair. Manual is constantly being updated.

Michael T -> RE: A few questions (8/26/2019 9:24:36 PM)

Ok thanks for the update. October is not too far away now.

Michael T -> RE: A few questions (10/2/2019 9:41:52 PM)

Is release still slated for this month?

Michael T -> RE: A few questions (10/3/2019 9:59:01 PM)

I guess not...

AlvaroSousa -> RE: A few questions (10/4/2019 12:27:01 AM)

Sometimes the forum doesn't light up for me seeing unread posts.

I asked the production team to give an update here. I am hard at work doing what they need to get the game ready.

Michael T -> RE: A few questions (10/4/2019 12:31:59 AM)

Ok, be nice to know if it's still this month or not.

Excellent! Looking forward to it!

I am eagerly awaiting this game myself but take your time, get it right, and release the game when you are satisfied with it. I have seen too many games rushed out the door because of an impatient fan base which were promptly criticized for not being ready for release. Take your time and do it right.

You only get one chance to make a good first impression and also to get good early reviews.

Daniele -> RE: A few questions (10/8/2019 4:20:55 PM)

If you are still wondering about the Release Date, October 24th has been just confirmed :)

preadr -> RE: A few questions (10/8/2019 6:56:38 PM)

what are the basical featuers we can wait for the new game?
this game was similar as ...
please tell me a little thimg (probably i will buy the game, because i 'am a great fan of strategy/war games)...
[:)][:)][:)][:)][:)]

AlvaroSousa -> RE: A few questions (10/8/2019 7:23:05 PM)

It is a little of all the games but the beta testers really felt like they were playing a board wargame and it game them good fuzzies.

The difference is that the interface lets a player focus on strategy instead of micromanaging. The strategy is very deep in the game. So deep that every time I play it myself to test I figure out something new.

But I will not share these strategies as it will spoil the journey to figure it out.

Michael T -> RE: A few questions (10/8/2019 8:50:06 PM)

Clear the decks, incoming. Great news. [:D]

rtoolooze -> RE: A few questions (10/8/2019 9:04:21 PM)

Yes great news indeed!! If it plays more like a Board wargame, count me in!

ncc1701e -> RE: A few questions (10/12/2019 8:21:49 PM)

Instead of opening a new thread, another question if you don't mind.

Did you use historical unit names for OOB? At scenario start and when producing new units during the game
Can you rename unit names?

AlvaroSousa -> RE: A few questions (10/12/2019 10:02:26 PM)

Of course I used historical OOB names.

And yes you can rename units

I fully agree!

AlvaroSousa -> RE: A few questions (10/15/2019 8:48:21 PM)

Computer games take a lot of time to get correct. Even big budget games have bugs and flaws and game balance issues initially. You can't catch everything in beta testing. A lot of issues are resolved in beta testing though. I'd say 90% of issues.

But be assured the game is constantly worked on and updated.
