Just purchased Anno 1800 from the Epic Store.
And what a horrendous nightmare that was.
log into epic account. Log into paypall. Log into ubisoft. each log in of one, logs you out of the other. So all has to be done again. No passwords are saved. in the end I just made them all the same. It was forty minutes faffing before I could even purchase. Almost didn't bother at all. Endless questions for registration.
The game took 8 hours to download. I have no idea if that was them or me. But 1 hour is the recent max i have had elsewhere. For anything.
Even now, twenty hours after purchase, it is insisting on doing a download, i didn't ask for. And again. Log into ubisoft. log into epic. You must log out of epic to download on ubisoft. etc etc etc.
I can safely say, i don't think Steam have anything to worry about.
