bink -> Version Confusion - 1.02.2 or 1.02 v3 Beta? (9/27/2019 11:58:34 AM)

Hi All,
I am confused by the versions. There are 2 downloads available, and I thought v1.02.2 was the latest, but it is dated June 07, versus the 1.02 V3 Beta dated Nov 2007.
To complicate matters, the Matrix Site has announcements dated Jan 2008 and Mar 2008 showing updates:

I installed 1.02 V3 Beta, which doesn't run - what steps should I take to remove it, given there is no Uninstall? I would rather remove it completely before trying 1.02.2 to avoid potential conflicts.
Are there any potential future developments remotely possible?
